About Cataract Specialty Surgical Center
The Cataract Specialty Surgical Center (CSSC) is a AAAHC and Medicare approved ambulatory surgical center (ASC). The center was opened in 1999 and has been dedicated to surgical excellence in eye care. The doctors at CSSC specialize in cataract, and glaucoma surgery of the eye. We are constantly upgrading and updating our equipment to bring you a state of the art eye surgery experience. The nurses and support staff at CSSC are experienced and compassionate. Most of our nurses come from a critical care background. At CSSC, we are committed to giving you excellence in eye care, in a safe and inviting setting.
Our Technology
LenSx® Laser System:
We offer the LenSx® Laser System to perform our laser-assisted cataract surgeries. We use this system because it is the only femtosecond laser designed from the ground up for use during cataract surgery. The LenSx® Laser System allows cataract surgeons to deliver precise, predictable and extremely effective results! Our LenSx® Laser System allows us to better treat cataracts with a growing list of innovations. It also allows us to treat astigmatism more effectively during cataract surgery.
ORA technology:
Another kind of technology used during laser-assisted cataract surgery, premium IOL, or high definition IOL placement is the ORA™ System. This allows us to continuously assess your eyes during surgery and assists with proper IOL alignment and astigmatism management.
